Jackie Mason, legendary comedian and actor, in a stand-up routine over 40 years ago. In a time when you could get away without being politically correct, but you had to be clean as well as humorous. Here is someone you can actually have people rolling in the aisles while using clean humor.
Mason, born in 1931 to an orthodox Jewish family, had a BA and was an ordained rabbi just as his brothers, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather were, when, after several years as rabbi of a synagogue, he left his congregation to become a comedian. He explained, “Somebody in the family has to make a living.”
Some favorite Mason quotes:
I have enough money to last me the rest of my life, unless I buy something.
It’s no longer a question of staying healthy. It’s a question of finding a sickness you like.
Just watch and laugh until your sides split.. This is hilarious.
