The little-known episode of Islamist terror training camps in the Colorado Rocky Mountains

By Avi Abelow @aviabelow

It is definitely time for Americans to wake up and realize that Islamic groups have been establishing terror training camps across America – for years.

The following Colorado TV news program highlights how one such camp was located in the Rocky Mountains, and has since moved on to other places around the country.

The camp in the Rocky Mountains was established by the Muslims of America, founded in 1980 by Mubarak Ali Gilani, a Muslim Imam from Pakistan.

The Muslims of America, Inc. was founded in 1980 by Gilani to establish Islam in America and it accomplishes this by establishing Islamic communities. Some of these communities are actually very clearly named after Islam, like in Hancock, New York, called Islamberg, and in York County, South Carolina, called Holy Islamville, as documented on Wikipedia.

While trying to portray themselves in the media as innocent Muslims just trying to live the American dream as Muslims in America, the Clarion Project has documented the connection the Department of Homeland Security makes between the MOA organization to Jamaat ul-Fuqra, a Pakistani militant group led by Gilani. Their report continues, stating that in 1998, the State Department wrote that Jamaat ul-Fuqra is an “Islamic sect that seeks to purify Islam through violence.” In March 2014, close to a dozen anti-Islamist Muslim Organizations in the U.S. and Canada released a statement in conjunction with the Clarion Project calling on the State Department to designate Jamaat ul-Fuqra as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.

The Clarion Project also exposes a secret Canadian intelligence report which described al-Fuqra as a “militant Sufi sect” that believes “there is a Satanic Zionist conspiracy to destroy Islam and that the Fuqra is God’s chosen instrument to defeat the enemies of Islam.” Among those they say are complicit in the conspiracy are Jews, Hindus, other Muslims and the governments of the U.S. and Canada. Gilani has said, “We are fighting to destroy the enemy. We are dealing with evil at its roots and its roots are America.”[6] He says that the “U.S. has become a pawn of hidden hands that use America’s wealth and the innocent blood of their sons and daughters to wage their wars against Muslims.”

MOA says it has 22 settlements across the United States. A 2006 report for law enforcement put the number at above 35 and estimated that the organization has 3,000 members. It said that the organization is set up like “classically structured terrorist cells” and that Gilani is “now known as an international terrorist.” It said that at least seven of the communes are used for paramilitary training and that members are also sent to Pakistan for further instruction. There are unconfirmed reports of members being trained in Sudan.

Regardless if one wants to ignore the information from the Department of Homeland Security regarding the terror connection of Gilani and the MOA, Gilani definitely does not sound sympathetic to the threat of Islamic terror to our world.

In a 2002 interview Gilani said that he believed the jinn (spiritual demons worshipped by Arabs before Islam) to be a greater danger to America than terrorism:

“Human beings can be made to do things against their will. They can be made to commit crimes. They can made to go and kill people. You know? And all your missiles, all your rockets, space ships go up. And electronics, they can be damaged, influenced, and misdirected through the agencies of jinn beings.”

This is information every America must know. Don’t say you were not warned!
