The Shira Chadash Boys Choir, from Ramat Beit Shemesh sings the words of the Psalms, “Those who trust in God are like Mount Zion, which doesn’t sway and stands forever. Just as Jerusaelem is surrounded by mountains, God surrounds His nation, now and forever.”
The Hebrew word for “trust in God” is the exact same word as that of “security” and in Israel the double meaning is not lost on the Jewish People. The boys in the Shira Chadasha (lit. “A New Song”) choir know that the Jewish Nation and Jerusalem are intrinsically connected and that is what brings true security to Israel. As they raise their voices in song, the clip shows the longing and excitement every Jew, young and old, has for Jerusalem, the heart and soul of the Jewish People. The beautiful song sung by the captivating young voices of the choir and the inspirational video help viewers make the connection between the city of Jerusalem, the People of Israel and the God of Israel.
