This man gives Obama nightmares, and there is nothing he can do about it

Gen. Martin Dempsey, U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at a discussion at the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs. Gen. Dempsey explains that the Israeli moral standards in Operation Protective Edge – in Gaza, were exemplary and that it acted responsibly to prevent civilian casualties as much as possible. This is based on conclusions made by a team of senior officers from the American Army who went to Israel to learn about what had been done in the operation.
Of course, the UN did not come to the same conclusion. In fact, the UN condemned Israel for killing innocent civilians pointlessly and irresponsibly.
It’s extraordinary that these two establishments came to such opposite conclusions after conducting their studies. What could be the cause of these very different impressions that each group came away with? Perhaps it has to do with the agenda of each group. Did they conduct their study objectively?
It would be interesting to see General Martin Dempsey give the same talk in the UN and hear the responses. In general the UN consistently disregards any positive reports about Israel. That speaks volumes about it’s objectivity.
