Episode 2 “On The Streets of Jerusalem” – Jerusalem Day Special

Jerusalem Day, the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar, is the day that the IDF recaptured the Old City of Jerusalem from the Jordanians who had conquered it and led its Jewish inhabitants into captivity in Jordan that lasted almost a year. The Jewish People had returned to its holiest city and they were ready to dance and rejoice. Every year, Jewish people from all over Israel, flock to Jerusalem on this day to dance from the modern western Jerusalem into the old city of Jerusalem to the Western Wall. They dance with flags, and the event has become known as “the dance of the flags”. Winston Churchill said “A nation that forgets its past, has no future.”
The Jewish Nation not only knows how to remember its past, it celebrates it.
