When 50,000 Yemenite Jews were saved by a non-Jewish WWII pilot

There are so many heroes who helped save Jewish People over the years.

One lesser known hero is Captain Elgen M. Long, an American WWII pilot.

Between 1948-1950, post WWII, Captain Long and the crewmen of Alaska Airlines managed to rescue 50,000 persecuted Yemenite Jews and bring them to Israel. Although Captain Long and the Alaska Airlines crewmen were not Jewish, they put themselves in danger to save Jewish People.
